As of October 12, 29 European countries have begun rolling out the new Entry/Exit System (EES), a digital border control system replacing passport stamps with electronic records. Over the next six months, the EES will be gradually deployed at all external border points. Non-EU travelers entering for short stays will now have their passport details, facial image, and fingerprints recorded on first entry, making future crossings faster and more secure.
This marks a major step toward modern, efficient, and safer borders, with strong privacy protections and real-time tracking to prevent overstays and identity fraud.
The system is expected to be fully operational by April 2026.  #lttravelconnection #europetravel

One of the easiest ways to make travel less stressful is to pack a small essentials bag with the items you will need most throughout the journey. Instead of searching through your suitcase every time you need something, keep important items close at hand, such as your passport, travel documents, phone charger, medications, wallet, headphones, snacks, and sunglasses. This simple habit can make airport time, road trips, and long travel days much more comfortable and organized. A well-packed essentials bag helps you stay prepared, saves time, and gives you peace of mind so you can focus on enjoying the trip. #lttravelconnection
